SQPBC race meetings – Somerset Dam

The South Queensland Power Boat Club will be conducting race meetings at Somerset Dam on the following dates in 2016:

  • 29 May
  • 31 July
  • 28 August.

Further information will be provided by the club closer to each scheduled event, but make sure these are in your calendar!  As always, all classes and types of boat will be catered for.  Please contact either Grant (0408-278 792, gj79@bigpond.net.au) or Mary (0408-756 631) if you have any questions.

The South Queensland Power Boat Club has a race meeting scheduled for  Sunday 30 August 2015 at Yeronga.  It is critical that the club knows there are sufficient boats racing to cover the costs of running the event.

South Queensland Power Boat Club will be holding its next club race day at Yeronga on 30 November 2014. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a day of low-pressure power boat racing and, if nothing else, a great opportunity to do some test and tune work on your boat.

South Queensland Power Boat Club will be holding its next club race day at Yeronga on 31 August 2014.  This is a great opportunity to enjoy a day of low-pressure power boat racing and, if nothing else, a great opportunity to do some test and tune work on your boat.  It’s also the last race day of the current licence year, so a chance to get a bit more value from your licence 😉

SQPBC club race day 4 May 2014 – results

Results as follows after only two races as the wind blew up and racing was cancelled for the day.  Thanks to the Cole boys from Childers for coming down and a big welcome to another new inboard racer- Brad Poole.

Special thanks to those in rescue boats on the river in the wind- Jules and Neil Murray, Megan and Mark, and Andrew Leeson and those on top of the caravan in the wind trying to wave flags-Don and Riley.  Glenn and Bec Fryer also kept the small crowd up to date with a commentary.

A great day had by all.  Numbers were a bit down but all those that attended had some great racing.
