SQPBC race day – Yeronga 31 August 2014

South Queensland Power Boat Club will be holding its next club race day at Yeronga on 31 August 2014.  This is a great opportunity to enjoy a day of low-pressure power boat racing and, if nothing else, a great opportunity to do some test and tune work on your boat.  It’s also the last race day of the current licence year, so a chance to get a bit more value from your licence 😉

All classes will be catered for – call Mary McMillan on 0408-756631 or Grant Jones on 0408-278 792 for further information or to advise the club that you’ll be competing.

Venue is Brisbane Corso, Yeronga:

PowerFest is here!

Well, almost 😉 Near enough that it’s time to make sure you have your bags packed and are ready to head off for a weekend of fun and excitement!

The Queensland APBA wishes all competitors, officials and fans a safe and successful weekend in Laidley.

APBA national web site down

The Web site of the national APBA is not currently available, meaning that all forms, race calendar etc are currently unavailable on-line.  Seems someone forgot to renew the domain registration …

We have contacted the national body to alert them to the situation.

UPDATE – licence and entry forms are temporarily available here.

FURTHER UPDATE – as the national site is back on-line, the above location for forms has been removed.

qldapba.com is moving!

The Web site of the Qld APA is moving to new hosting arrangements with Bluehost, which means that things might get a bit strange over the next couple of days, while all the hamsters are moved to a new wheel.  Please be patient and, if you are unable to access the site after doing a ‘hard refresh’ in your browser (Windows – ctrl+F5, Mac – cmnd+R), drop us a line at qldapbamedia@gmail.com.

This move is due to increased traffic and costs, meaning the current hosting arrangements are no longer suitable.  It also means we will be able to offer free hosting for any Queensland clubs that wish to establish their own site.  Information will be sent to the clubs once the move is finished.

Save Queensland’s motorsport venues

We are all aware of the cost to motorsport on encroaching residential development.  A petition has been established calling on the Queensland Parliament to protect those venues that remain.  If you live in Queensland, support our motorsport friends by signing the petition here.
